I'm running ubuntu 8.10  ...  runs pretty nice.  Only problem is that
firefox seems flaky on this install.  Keeps crashing when I visit
certain sites that require scripts.  Of course I messed around with
all the settings so much that I only blame myself...

I ran Xubuntu when I first got my eee...
Nice if you like xfce desktop.

Eeebuntu looks nifty.  I think I'll see if I can do a unetbootin
install of Eeebuntu this weekend.  I ran it with the netbook interface
before.  I wasn't much of a fan of the interface.  I missed the
standard gnome menus.  I'll try the standard install next time.
