I will rephrase. I should have said: Any software project that says it is open source but is not GPL does not have the users best interests, rights or protections in mind. The other open source licenses are better then closed source policies, but the GPL ensures the freedom of every user that uses the software. If that is crazy, then YES! I'm nuts. Chris...
