I want to thank everyone for the replies.I am not actually ditching Linux.I enjoy using it way too much.I like the fact that its not entierly plug and play like Windoze.I prefer my computer not have training wheels.My laptop has never had all the 3D effects function.The problem on the laptop isnt the effects,its the inablility to see certain popups like Gnome Do and AWN.I will try the ideas here.Thanks again for the help.
