So use the following commands on the grub command line to boot directly into an operating system. grub>rootnoverify (hd0,0) (assuming windows to be in 1st partition) grub>makeactive grub>chainloader +1 grub>boot Once you have successfully booted into an OS, reinstall/restore the grub.
