Just for the record, I have forwarded this suggestion to the folks at
Topica. (As I said, though, I cannot commit them to anything nor speak
for them. But I'd be inclined to say that they will take this suggestion
under very serious advisement.)

I'd like to clarify this, since several people seem to be somewhat
confused here: It was not claimed that the presence of the list info
in the database was opt-in ... merely that the *option* of having
your list archived by Topica is opt-in. That is, if you do not wish to
have your list archived there, you need do nothing.
