On a related note, it is extremely rare that I get spam that appears to be sent via conventional mailing list software (MajorDomo, ListServ, ListProc, Lyris, etc.). Spammers certainly could make their email look like mailing list distributions. For now, they rarely do this. The only significant comparison that comes to mind is that some list servers use multiple recipients... Why all the fuss about creating special privileges for mailing lists? Doesn't seem like this would lead to the prevention a lot of spam. - murr -
