i run a few lists at various small ISPs...nothing major, but with enough
traffic and subscribers to keep me busy in all the usual ways :-)

i'm working with a new provider for a list that will generate a lot of
traffic; typical contentious discussion list. the provider insists that
they must insert Errors-To: headers that point at the list admin
e-dress; they're muttering something about bounce handling and
not wanting to have to deal with bounces from *my* list.

i thought the general wisdom was that Errors-To: was useless, in
fact down right harmful, though i can't seem to recall the specifics.

can anyone help me out? i'm trying to understand the issues myself,
at least well enough to have an intelligent discussion with the provider's
postmaster.

thanks.
