There has been some discussion of this here from time to time, as
you can imagine. In general, when they are told to stop it, it seems
they do.

Here's what I'd do.

I'd start by posting a message to your list explaining the situation,
and that a condition of subscription in your list is that the material in
your list not be distributed to other lists without your advance
approval.

Change your welcome aboard message to indicate that also.

You may want to also indicate that all the contents of the list are
copyrighted by you and the authors, and may not be re-printed or re-
distributed without the approval of the copyright holders.

Next, scan your list for subscriptions from e-groups. And drop them.

Once that is done, send a note to the postmaster at e-groups, and
anyone else whose email address you can find at their website,
letting them know that their behavior with regards to your mailing
list is unacceptable, and must stop at once.

If that doesn't produce the desired results, have your attorney send
them a letter repeating the demand that they stop at once, and
purge their archives of all of your material.

Mike
