The list at eGroups has 2 subscribers. The archived postings
are from my list. The list information on eGroups references
my website.

Hard to say whether the company or a subscriber did it,
I did a scan for eGroups subscribed addresses on my list but
have none. I sent a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
and got no answer. I sent messages to eGroups addresses
and got only autoresponders referring me to their faq if I
needed help using eGroups.
I'm on the digest so I didn't get all the responses until this
morning, but thanks for the advice. I do need to adjust my
welcome message and notice on my website.
I still don't quite understand why, when I attempted to post to
my own list, I received a message that I was not allowed to
post to eGroups because I was not a subscriber. Considering
that I did not send the message or the approved: message to
eGroups. That is what tipped me off to look at eGroups, which
is archiving a portion of the messages to the list. Still
a puzzlement to me what's going on. And as I said, I have
no eGroups subscriptions -- either for the list, or for
individuals. And yet it gets the messages.
My outgoing message was simply to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
HOWEVER, the message from eGroups contained a different TO:

really makes me wonder what is really going on here. How would that
egroups To: or that X-envelope-to have gotten inserted?
The list is hosted using majordomo at quality.org - was that done there?
