I'm working with studio 452 and visual source safe 6 and have been having
some issues with studio's own project file. So I'm needing to understand
exactly how studio integrates with VSS. Ok, so the problem that we are
having is that when another developer updates the project .apf file, (ex.
adding another directory), and saves the project. In order for me to see
those changes, i must re-open the project. But say before re-opening the
project I add two directories to the project, and save the project. How can
I get it to verify that there have been no changes made to the project file
and not overwriting the other developers changes. Is there a workaround,
other than just using vss directly and switching back and forth from vss and
studio? I have done a dump of the project WDDX file to see if I can
somehow have some process doing the checking instead of studio, but that
seems like too much work to do for something so simple.

Thanks,

Robert Hinojosa
