I'm running http://localhost/ without the port number. I assume it's a port
issue.

Thanks

Hmm ... a DNS error eh? So is this on a dedicated server somewhere
and you used to hit it with http://www.mydomainname.com, which served
up CF files, but now the DNS doesn't work at all? Or is this on a
local machine and you're doing http://localhost:8500 (or maybe without
the port number if you have this tied into your web server), and that
doesn't work?

If it's on a dedicated server have you tried going directly on the
server to see if you can get to the standalone CF using localhost and
a port number? Have you tried using an IP as opposed to the domain
name?

Also, have you checked out what's going on in IIS (again, I'm assuming
you're using Windows/IIS) and JRun's web server configuration tool?
Any clues there?

Sorry, I know I'm asking more questions than I'm answering at this
point ... just trying to determine if CF is running fine but not
communicating with the web server properly, or if it's actually a
CF-related problem.

Matt
