Actually, I'd say that the Throne Meisters didn't defeat the Ptolemais Meisters. They ran away after the Trial System was turned off. Admittedly, it was the Ptolemais Meisters who were trying to defeat the other three, but the incident came across as more of a draw than anything else.
As for Lockon blaming Setsuna - it was a suicide bombing. So everyone directly involved in it is dead. That still possibly leaves the people who planned it and set it up, but the people who actually did the deed died in the bombing. Lockon's anger, assuming he was angry with Setsuna, would have been the same sort of anger that allows someone to lump all members of a group together. And evidently Setsuna did at one point support the goals of the terrorist group, since he was a member. I suspect Louise will return, when we least expect her to (note related to last week's discussion - note that she's standing at the window when Saji walks away :P ). And Saji is by no means going to disappear yet. He's Setsuna's next door neighbor, and Kinue's younger brother. He's going to play a role of some sort, though it's too early to figure out what it is yet. One other item - Louise's last name is suspiciously similar to the name of the guy that Kinue's partner mentions (the guy who is presumed to be the Trinities' mysterious contact). The translation I saw had the names spelled differently, but the letters involved seemed to suggest to me that the names might actually be identical (with a poor job of rendering proper names on the part of the translator). The Trial system is interesting, but there's something missing. Tierie indicates that the importance of the Trial system is that it can control any mobile suit connected to Veda. But he got upset when Nadleeh was revealed to the HRL prematurely. The HRL isn't hooked up to Veda, and so therefore wouldn't be affected by the Trial system. So there's probably something more to Nadleeh. The things in Antarctica were Solar Furnaces - or more likely counterfeit ones similar to the ones used by the Thrones. So the three superpowers are being given generators that will allow them to build mobile suits that are competitive with the Gundams. Other items - Corner's up to something. When Nadleeh turns off the Thrones, we see the lower half of someone's face (and some hair) with a comment that indicates that the person is the one who turned off the Trial system. That face resembles Corner. It's impossible to be sure without seeing the rest of the face, but he's excellently positioned to be the spider at the center of a web. It could be that he's affiliated with both groups of Gundam Meisters. I'm also fingering him as the chief suspect for being the one who has apparently provided the superpowers with their own Solar Furnaces. Lockon keeps ending up as someone who may be paired off against pilots that were formerly focused on Setsuna. First we had Graham's continued encounters with Exia, before he ended up going against Dynames twice (and is paired against him in the current OP iirc). Now we've got Lockon with a very legitimate grievance against Ali, who Setsuna also has good reason to not like. Though since Setsuna, Lockon, and Tierie have now all had a conversation about the identity of Ali, it's possible that when Veda is finally used again in mission planning, the first mission might involve stepping on Ali with a Gundam (a fate which he richly deserves). If the Solar Furnaces being handed to the Super Powers are the result of a traitor scheming, then things are about to get out of hand very quickly. On the other hand, this may all be part of the super secret plan, in which case Professor Eifmann may have really been on to something when he was assassinated. Will Billy be able to figure it out? junior Subject : [gundam] Gundam 00 Episode 19 **Spoilers** Date : Tue, 19 Feb 2008 11:51:34 -0600 >From : "Reynolds, Jason M." <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To : <[email protected]> I thought it was an interesting twist that the Throne Meisters DIDN'T defeat the Ptolemais Meisters by the clichéd superior technology that would require the clichéd Gundam upgrade and instead defeated them by exposing the truth about Setsuna's past and how it related to Lockon's past. It sure was not what I was expecting. That being said I don't see how Lockon could blame Setsuna for his parent's death as Setsuna would've been too young to have been actively involved with such a big attack in a foreign country. The Louise montage makes it seem like we won't see her again. That disappointed me because I wanted her and Saji to stay together. I liked the idea of a total dweeb and a hot chick together. I am really curious what route Saji will take from this point on. Louise told him to go to space. With how easy it is to go up the Elevators I don't see how it would be that hard to get a job in space anymore. Is he going to be involved with a colony construction project or maybe be work for of the solar energy system group? I don't see how either of those jobs can be relevant to the plot because it would take a long time to achieve them since he seems to be still in High School. I don't think the series timeline will stretch out that far. So will Saji join one of the three armies or will he and Louise both fade into the background? We finally see what the hype is about Gundam Nadleeh but its edge was subsequently rendered useless by the damage that was done to Veda. That coupled with Tieria's line about humans further reinforce my theory that he is an android or a cyborg that is directly linked to Veda and not by any means a standard human. I doubt that the other Ptolemais Meisters could jump in the Nadleeh and turn on the Gundam Meister Trial System. I almost wonder if Tieria, and his connection to Veda, is the actual Trial System. He has always been the one Meister who has made it his personal agenda to judge the fitness of the other Meisters. At first I thought it was arrogance but maybe it was actually his job as a control system. Also was the damage to Veda definitely perpetrated by Nena Trinity and if so was it at "Laguna's" request? Or is it not actually damage at all but a safeguard built in by Celestial Being to control the P. Meisters if they go against the big plan if the Throne Meisters are! actually a part of it? It was interesting that the Trial system didn't appear to affect the Exia. Also I wonder if Laguna is tied in to the Purple Haro. Last but not least what did we see in Antarctica in that little glimpse at the end? Were they nuclear missiles? Was their an Antarctic Treaty in this timeline? That definitely seemed to come out of nowhere. If nukes were a known issue why didn't Celestial Being destroy them from the very beginning?
