I saw this episode raw, so I can't comment on the dialogue (which I largely didn't understand).
Not only do the Thrones have an operational limit, but there's also a scene with the HRL's GN Drives being loaded into the Jinx mobile suits. I've never seen that take place with the Ptolemais's Gundams (which, so far as I can recall, have always had the drives installed in the mobile suits even while they're in the bays). The inference would be that the drives are "recharged" while not attached to the mobile suits, and the Ptolemais's Gundams don't need to recharge their drives. Setsuna wasn't losing as bad as Johann it seemed, although he was clearly losing. Also worth noting, Setsuna versus Micheal in the earlier episode seemed to have Setsuna with a very slight edge over Micheal. And the Gundam that Ali stole was Micheal's. Nene's currently the only surviving Trinity, and her Gundam is damaged (Soma chopped off part of one of the limbs). Speculation on the connection between the Gundams and Veda - I don't think that the Gundams are completely cut off from Veda. Instead, the new OS has over-ridden the parts of the Gundams' software that Veda is able to shut down. This would allow Veda to continue to communicate with the Gundams in some fashion, but keep it from doing anything potentially fatal to the mobile suit (such as shutting its drive down). It appears that Wang sent a warning to the Trinities when the HRL team was heading their way. So she was interested in attempting to maintain the alliance she'd formed with them - not that it appears to be worth much anymore... Given the revelation of what was hidden within "Level 7" of Veda, I suspect that the block that Tieria encountered was not actually placed there by Nene. Instead, I'm guessing that Nene extracted some information from Veda that Ribbons was then able to use to track Veda to its physical location. I'm also guessing that Nene will provide information to the Ptolemais gorup now that it's clear that the Trinities were being used. I'm also wondering if what was in that casket was really what it seemed to be. That casket seemed awfully easy for Corner and Ribbons to find given how important it must have been. If Billy does manage to hook up the drive to Graham's Overflag, then you're looking at a potentially VERY fast and maneuverable mobile suit, with the drive presumeably taking care of the g-force problems that Graham encountered earlier on. junior Subject : RE:[gundam] Episode 22 *major spoilers* Date : Sat, 08 Mar 2008 23:14:00 +0000 >From : [EMAIL PROTECTED] To : [email protected] 3) GN-X and Thrones does have an "operating limit" - The Thrones were at the 30% mark when they were chased by HRL. 5) Setsuna was losing to Ali until Schenberg unlock TRANSAM mode on all of the 4 Gundams. With it on, Exia was moving around Zwei in circles (remind me of the V-MAX mode of Lazyer) Apparent, this was triggered when Ribbon/Corner finally finish accessing level 7 of VEDA, and Corner shot the casket that hold Schenberg's body. He claims that when this happens, it means his plan isn't working as well as he hope, as it seems human just cannot seem to stop fighting, hence the he think the world and human needs to change. Unlike people like Corners, he still believe in human beings. He didn't know whether the 4 meisters have the same goal as him, so he can only hope that they will be fighting for peace. Guess my speculation way in the beginning was right - Schenberg's goal was always to drive out the "evil" in the world, and he make the correct assumption/guess that someone inside CB might be bad as well, hence he make the "backup" plan. Of course, it always depends on the Meisters to be not evil as well, so I guess there is a reason why they pick Setsuna as a pilot. Of course, plot holes are abound, as how in the world can Schenberg "unlock" TRANSAM for Setsuna, when their Gundam should be cut off from VEDA. Would be interesting to see how they will handle the ending of season 1.
