I know where to go to get a summary elsewhere. However, I prefer not to comment on something until I have some sort of personal understanding of it. So until I have a dialogue translation, I'll only comment on the things that are apparently just from watching the raw episode.
Whether or not the fight was fair for Setsuna, he lasted longer than Johann did. However, the issues that apply to Setsuna also apply to Ali. Both are familiar with the moves of the other. So the advantage and disadvantage goes both ways. Remember that Nene's Gundam was the one that punched a hole in Ali's mobile armor back in the desert. It's still quite useful. It's primary problem right now is that Soma cut a good sized chunk off of it. Since the drives weren't in TRANS-AM (where's KITT? :P ), I don't see why there would be any reason for the Ptolemais's crew to prohibit Veda from accessing that particular function in the operating systems. Why would they be worried about someone hacking Veda to supercharge their GN Drives? Though it's more likely that the particular part of the Gundam software is a "black box" that they're unable to access, and don't really understand. Otherwise they could have rewritten the software to activate the drives without needing input from Veda. Assuming that's the case, that particular part of the software would be left alone when the OS was rewritten for fear of damaging something critical. Remember that there's enough about CB that they don't know that the Trinities were able to show up and get away with (more or less) claiming to be an even more secret part of CB. In the scene in which Wang talks with Johann, there's a little bar at the top of Wang's image that says (in English) - "Urgent Communication". If Wang says something differently in the dialogue, then I'm unaware of it so far (since I don't have a translation). But the implication is that Wang sent an "urgent" message to Johann, and the only reason for her to do that is to warn the Trinities about the HRL coming after them. Regardless of how secure Level 7 may be, remember that there was a response built in just in case someone did break into it and shoot the casket up. Ergo, it wasn't considered outside the realm of possibility that such an event would occur. Which is why I suspect that the contents of the casket may have been faked, and the real thing is hidden even more carefully. It appears that the GN Drives work according to a principle somewhat similar to anti-gravity. There have been scenes in which Setsuna flies away, and his Gundam literally appears to be hanging in the air as it flies off. So g-forces shouldn't be a problem for Graham if the new engine works with his Overflag. Remember that g-forces aren't due to speed. They're due to other factors, including changes in acceleration vectors while conducting rapid maneuvers (which is what got Graham in trouble earlier). junior Subject : RE:[gundam] Episode 22 *major spoilers* Date : Sun, 09 Mar 2008 08:37:05 +0000 >From : [EMAIL PROTECTED] To : [email protected] You can always go to the Random Curiosity site for brief summary of the episode - he is usually pretty quick on providing the summary once the episode has aired. It wasn't a fair fight for Setsuna vs Ali compared to Johann vs Ali because Ali know all of Setsuna's melee moves, and with Exia being a melee type MS, it's hard for Setsuna to surprised Ali, so unless you have Exia outperform Zwei, like we see when TRANSAM is on, Setsuna has very low chance of winning. Until Setsuna "unlearn" what he learn with Ali, it will remain a fight that Ali has advantage in. The last Throne Gundam is almost useless in combat because it just have the basic weapons (beam saber and beam gun), so against GN-X or other Gundams, it really cannot do anything. I won't speculate on the Veda to Gundam connection too much, since currently, it doesn't make too much sense - if they know Veda is compromised, I doubt they would let Veda has "write" access of any kind to Gundam. Wang didn't send the warning - she just mention it when Johann ask for help to get back to space - that seems to suggest that she is not against them, but definitely not with them. Remember, level 7 seems to be the lowest level access for VEDA, so if Veda is supposed to be the ultimate storage, I would imagine the founder's body information would be on there as well. Besides, I assume Veda's location is pretty well protected against outsiders. The casket seems to serve its purpose well - it's supposed to piss off the "traitors" and trigger the "anti traitor" sequences, which in turn unlock TRANSAM for the original Meisters. That depends on whether the Gundam type designs factor that in - when TRANSAM mode is on, I don't see Setsuna suffering from much G force (not as bad as Graham did, for sure), and he is moving way faster than Graham did. If that is the case, then Graham would do extremely well, since he can go fast and his body can stand it.
