I must say for allot of things in Linux a GUI will only slow you down. I have been using xen for quite some time now without any GUI. Few weeks back I got libvirtd going and started using virt-manager. Don't really like it, and while its pretty. I can do the same thing much faster via command line. With the exception that with virt-manager I can use to view more than one host machine at a time. Via command line would have to be logged into each, and running same commands, etc. Some benefit when dealing with large numbers, but not to many. Not to mention no extra software, etc for command line access. Which I can also do from my cell phone. Would have to have an app on my phone to have any sort of GUI. Do yourself a favor, free yourself from being dependent on a GUI. Only good thing about a GUI is multiple terminals and command line interfaces. That and for video purposes, you simply cannot do in a command line world. Unless you like the ascii video players :) -- William L.
