I understand and respect william's position and don't see it as whining. He
isnt a paid staff or something. Eazy to call him a whiner but haven't seen
anyone offer to do what he has been doing

happen, because you are great, and I only know of a fraction of what you

this group, what it must be at least a year by now, so that I could get
involved with the Linux community. Under you as well as the work of Bob and
others. I do not want to see this group lose the momentum that it has been
gaining. I don’t know what has happened here, but Bill, you did great, and I
certainly respect whatever you yourself decide to do. I know that you
personally have put in more than your share, but no matter what happened,
there is no reason for anyone to lob insults to another member of the group,
no matter what has occurred. And there appears to be a lot of
misunderstandings occurring here. I have erased this particular line that I
am attempting to type several times, because I have no idea what has
occurred to cause Bill's stepping down, nor do I have any right to try to
say to opine on things that I still have a limited technical knowledge of. I
hope that this is all settled out , all I can say is huh??? To some of the
things that I am reading from everyone, and to Bill, you are the man, and I
Hope that you can rethink this over, I know you were asking for more

enough to do so since then, but you guys, I hope this gets situated, because
we are THE group for Jacksonville, and it would be a shame if we lose our en
persona meetings.

realizing what has and is going on in the present and recent past. Much less
who is making it happen.

Which I had no intention of ever being. Just one day there was no mailing
list, till I did something. Few months later problems with the wiki.
Resulting in months of wiki data lost, most of which I had entered. Thus I
took that over as well. Then problems with DNS, so I took that over. Finally
as of last month domain expiration, which I handled and paid for.

ball when others dropped it. Which any other JaxLUG member could have done
any one of those things, rather than me doing it all. No one else in the
community stepped up, so I did it all. That is the same for leading
meetings, getting presenters, coordinating a venue/location, buying pizza
most times (in the past drinks as well), etc.

virtual machine. That is a complete system, less a kernel and some stuff.
But has all configs and data for the wiki and mailing list. Along with
information on the domain name, so he can take over DNS as well.

If others want to step up with organizing meetings, etc.

channel ops to another, but thats pretty moot at this point as far as I am

just want to be done with it all and move on. You won't be hearing anymore
