First of this is a business decision and I am not burned out. I am sick of hearing people suggesting things, who are currently not doing anything. Thus its time for others to step up or shut up. Feedback, suggestions, comments, etc are always welcome. But criticism of those doing the work, without you pitching in is not helpful at all. Much less the critics do not realize what is going on, because they themselves are not participating. Just making false assumptions that the JaxLUG is no growing and should be much larger, etc. > I hope that you can hang in there long enough to provide for a > graceful transition so that folks can step up. I have no plan to let the ball be dropped as it was in the past when I took things over. That is not how I operate, and I do not want anyone in the LUG to have to start from scratch as I did. With the mailing list, and wiki. I am providing considerably more than what i received. Much less services are still up and running, so no added pressure there, like i was under before. > Thanks for everything, Very welcome and it was my pleasure, privilege, and honor to serve. I would have happily kept on, if people were doing their part. Rather than just casting opinions and stones all around. Creating more and more work, without grabbing a shovel. End of the day, if I can get my business goals met in a reasonable amount of time, then I won't contribute. This was a problem that plagued Gentoo as well. Why is a company going to pay for their employee to contribute. Just to waste time in debates, religious battles, stupid social stuff that comes up in communities etc. Biggest problem in FOSS software and communities, is lack of leadership. Its why Linux is still rock solid, because end of the day. Linus makes a call, right or wrong. Thats how many things need to be. Puts to an end allot of time wasting quagmires and just get on with work and progress. -- William L.
