hard is it to install hydraulic steering? I've got a Cascade 36 with
a tiller and I'm getting tired of hand steering all the time.

As has been noted, you will lose a sense of "feel"; however, IMHO,
that is the least of your concerns, especially if you are getting
tired of hand steering.

Hydraulic steering will probably be the easiest retrofit.

You will need to install a pedestal and wheel, a rudder post control
arm, hoses, hydraulic steering ram as well as rudder cyl.

Depending on your ability to negotiate, expect to invest $6K-10K.
