Philip,
You may want to contact SailCare. Aside from cleaning sails (great job!)
they're also reps for a number of sail handling mfgrs, Strong included. A few
years ago I was also having "issues" with my slugs. I looked at the Strong
system but rejected it solely on price. What they suggested was another slug
which they sold in single pieces. It was made of some sort of plastic/teflon
which slides effortlessly up and down the mast track. I've had them for about 4
years and they're great.
I wish I could tell you the name but if you give them a call or check on their
website you'll probably find the item.

Is this what you're looking for?

Thanks for the help Phil.
Not really what I think I am looking for. What is described in the post you
forwarded is is the "Strong" sail track. Perhaps my memory is wrong, but it
was a thin slick tube that slipped into the existing luff grove. It allowed the
use of the existing slugs on the sail. I can't find it and the list does not
appear to have an archive I can search. Nor does it come up in any Google
search. Perhaps it exists only in my mind. But I really need to do something
about the aluminum bat car slugs on the main as they jam in the slot. Perhaps
I can work on the slugs and improve them somehow. $$ is a consideration.
