RUSSELL REPLY I bought the computer with WinXP installed for which I paid an extra $150. The computer store gave me a CD and the box had a holographic Microsoft label. How am I supposed to know the business arrangement of individual computer stores? You don't need to be an electrician to use an electric stove and you do not need to be a mechanic to drive a car. So why should the average consumer have to be a computer expert just so they can get email etc. These days non computer users are marginalized. I have seen billboard advertising literacy classes for non computer users but the only contact information is a URL. DUH!! Around here you cannot even contact government services except by computer. No phones no postal address. Just a URL. And this in an area where there is often no high speed access and someplaces still do not have grid utility power. People must use generators if they want electricity.
