Rates at Burnt Store are fairly reasonable. We pay 12.50 ft per month. There is a liveaboard fee of $200. Depending on which slip you are in if you pay electric. The slips in the north basin are relatively new. We are in the main area, where the restaurants and fuel docks are located. Water is free. They are descent showers in the older section and newer ones in the north basin, (but the women's showers always seems to have a foul odor in it.) Yes, all pets are welcomed. Cats are welcomed because they eat the bugs that come around the docks every now and then. We had a cat on out docks and no one has ever had a bug problem, even now since the cat has been gone for a year ... no bugs. There is a large laundry facility that has 4 washers ($1.25) and 5 dryers (.75). And at the main are there is 1 washer and dryer, same cost. There used to be a store, but is now a deli, no groceries other than drinks, soda, water, beer, milk. Ice is sold at the dock masters office. The closest grocery store is 10 miles. If you don't have a car, there is usually someone going to town everyday. We have been here since 2001 and really enjoy it. There is a great liveaboard community. Plus at the restaurant every Thursday night there is Karaoke at Portabellas!! There are some descent singers and of course some of us that can carry a note if it was glued to us.
