check the depths in goodland.. its a small fishing village near naples.. used 
to people anchoring thier boats there.. 
has a dingy dock and parking for the anchorage. I had a freind who lived there 
a whole season.. no problems..
might consider a run down for a look see.. depths I dunno.. 

fort myers beach is probably off limits... due to size and depth.. bear in 
mind.. the more you leave the boat
the more chances you get for hassles... The FDLE recieved buttloads of money in 
the last couple of years
for "enforcement" from Homeland Stupidity...they have to justify that money.. 
that is the basis for a lot of
'enforcement'...without a mast, the boat can be seen as a 'derelict' even if it 
is not.. your best bet is to make 
buddy buddy with the local water cops. 

Why not ask around on the sailing boards for help moving the boat.. lats and 
atts has a lot of sailors 
on the left coast who have time on thier hands.. that could help you take the 
boat south and around.. 

I think if you did the research you might find someplace a lot closer..
