I get my mail via the web exclusively.. do not use OE... mail goes out however gmail decides it should go out.. might want to look at your settings on OE first.. the type for me is really small I have to enlarge it when I am reading.. I have vista (gag puke) far right hand corner just about the time is the percetage to make it larger or smaller.. that might help... I cannot do anything else from my end... fair winds..
