Good idea - I'll give Landfall a call Monday. I looked on the Navionics site
and couldn't find any contact number - just authorized dealers, etc...

Steve,
They probably are. Landfall Navigation usually has the best retail price and
is a good source for information - they answer queries quickly. If Navionics is
like C-Map, the company's website is often the source of the best upgrade
prices. Check before you buy.

Subject: [Liveaboard] Navionics chart chips
Does anyone know for sure whether these chart chips are "upgradable"? I was
looking on eBay for a "Platinum CF" chip for my new chartplotter and could bid
on one dated 2004. According to the seller, they are 'upgradable' to current at
any Navionics store (west marine, etc...). Can anyone confirm this from past
experience?
TIA
