Steve,

You could purchase a electrical tone device which is used to trace
electrical cables. You place the tone generator on one of the wires and then
go forward with the detector and probe around to see if you can get a tone
where the end of the tube might be.

Subject: [Liveaboard] Re-wiring on a '97 Hunter 376

I'm re-wiring some stuff at the pedestal and have located the aft end of the
2" PVC pipe (portside locker under where the shorepower enters the boat)
which Hunter used as a conduit to run all the electric and data cables back
to the nav station. The problem is, for the life of me I can't find the
forward end! I called Hunter and they didn't know where the forward end
terminated.

Has anyone with this model boat ever done any pedestal-to-nav station
re-wiring? I'm trying to avoid tearing down all the cabinetry around the
nav station to find the forward end.
