Possibly because of liability for "loss of use".  They destroy your boat 
(home) & they will have to pay for you to live elsewhere... for some period 
of time.  May also be because live aboard owners want their homes back in a 
more timely fashion.  Live aboard owners may also tend to be "underfoot" as 
well as more critical than "recreational" boat owners.  They may also think 
a live aboard will have less money to spend.

There's lots of possible reasons.... even if they are all bad ones.
