Yes, that is a crazy rumor as is the one that it prevents rust - NOT. However, it is an excellent underarm deodorant. On some list it was pointed-out that WD stands for Water Displacement. It was allegedly invented to free up Saturn (?) rockets in their too tight silos which during launch were impeded by condensation inside these silos. Ron Rogers
-----Original Message----- From: Ben Okopnik Nothing wrong with WD-40 - it's a perfectly good hand cleaner and solvent for various kinds of gunk. I've heard of people trying to use it as a lubricant, but I'm sure that was only a crazy rumor. _______________________________________________ Liveaboard mailing list [email protected] To adjust your membership settings over the web http://www.liveaboardnow.org/mailman/listinfo/liveaboard To subscribe send an email to [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected] The archives are at http://www.liveaboardnow.org/pipermail/liveaboard/ To search the archives http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] The Mailman Users Guide can be found here http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-member/index.html
