Just thought I'd share this with the group. I bought (3) SCS225 lead acid batteries less than four years ago. Usage has been minimal as I am working on the boat. Solar panel and windmill keep them topped off. Good quality regulator and all that good stuff + regular maintenance.
I have the three in parallel. One shorted out yesterday. It was then I discovered that there was only a one year warranty on them. I also did a bit of checking on the net and found a few of folks that had similar experiences to mine and many who bad mouthed Trojan. Put a call into Trojan early this morning to express my displeasure. Left a number on the machine. They have not called back. Did I just get a stinker? Any good experiences to share? Can I expect the other two to fail soon?
