Lee, Years ago I bought a stainless table-top BBQ at Sam's Club for $75. It is about 11" x 16" and looks somewhat like a stainless steel pillow. I built a shelf in the pilothouse for it, removed the included table stand, and fastened it to the shelf. I moved the handle on the lid from the front (where one get's one's hand burnt when opening the lid) to the side. I lashed a 30 lb LPG tank under the shelf with a hose to the BBQ.
We had two problems. First was the burner rusting out every three or four years. I was able to buy new two ones via an 800 number for $45 including shipping. The diffuser plate has also rotted out in the center and I will fabricate a new, more substantial one, when the 'round-tuit arrives. But the rest of the unit is substantial and has suffered no degradation over many years of frequent use. I suggest you look in places other than marine stores first for quality equipment at reasonable prices. I have found the quality of consumer grade boat items in the marine retail stores varies widely and the cost is almost always higher than elsewhere.
