Actually I'm now hiding out in the mountains of BC. Wood shed is stocked snow blower tuned up, and winter hobby projects planned. Planning and gearing up for fishing trips to coast next summer. Only use VHF radio fpr weather broadcasts.. Interstingly the logging trucks all use VHF to avioid crashing their 80 footers head-on when meeting on single lane mountain roads Mandatory calling every half kilometer. even distance upbound; odd numbers when loaded down bound. Around here if you leave your radio off you're dead! no AIS service available. ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, October 23, 2009 7:02 PM Subject: Re: [Liveaboard] VHF Monitoring
