I've never had a problem checking in at Bimini with any kind of crowd. Once one of the officers was at lunch, and we just waited on the boat and when he came back from lunch the marina people told us that he was back. Although I like the marina I would advise against trying to check in there. First it will be necessary to by-pass other places where you could check in (Bimini, Chubb), and second if there is a cruise ship in port, customs may be tied up there for hours and you will be waiting for some time (and unable to legally leave the boat) until they get finished with the large ships. Some people have had to pay extra for the customs people to work extended hours to check them in. An advantage to Nassau is that if you have some extra service needed (like you want to stay longer than the initial permit) that's the place you go to get permission. >Entering from the north, it is possible to check in at other places >than West End.
