Well, yes. If you are possible, development team is happily accepting
patches for bugs. Also, log4cxx is not just coding. There are plenty of
other things as well, like documentations, help, samples, etc.

If you are interested in working with code, you can make your comments on
the JIRA itself, so that all devs will get notified. Interested people will
surely join with you. Once the fix ready they'll apply it to the branch for
surely. You'll also get credit on it, for surely. :)
