I think the "preferred" format should be PNG. If you use Gimp, then
also provide the XCF source file. A note should be made that if a
proprietary editor is used, then that will make it harder for us to
use. We can note that adding a small "TM" is preferred but not
required since once will be added by us if missing. WRT size we could
suggest that erring on the large size is better since scaling down is
easy but scaling up might leave some ugly artifacts.
