FWIW, I do not consider any of the new formats user friendy as the title of
this ticket mentions. The prop files are maven shading friendly, so that might
be enough.
Stepping back: can the cache object format be simplified? That might help
simplify the externalized text version. I guess I should have asked that one
first! ;-)
