Yes that worked. I had been trying to use the PropertyConfigurator to set it up
but it hadn't worked.
I instantiate locally in the class because I'm using the logging back to a
remote client Java Swing app console window for each client that connects and
starts a session on the server. I use two seperate log streams for general
logging info and commands.
