I'm very interested on helping out. If you start discussing your
ideas on the mailing list (we can still use this mailing list,
right?), I will join in the discussion and work on the code. I can
also help with the php5 version, the unit tests, and the docs.
Cool! Let's put our heads together. But we need to know where to
put our code and place all our discussions. I really hope we can
continue using the current infrastructure with mailing lists,
website and Subversion repository.
I should have commit access to the log4php repo as an Incubator PMC
member, though I'd want to give a heads up before committing anything
to a retired project. If you can put together a proposal to restart
the project and are willing to sign CLA's (http://www.apache.org/
licenses), then it should be able to get the initial contributors
commit rights within a week or so. I haven't done much with the
logging services Wiki (http://wiki.apache.org/logging), but you may
be able to use that to collaborate on the incubator proposal.
