I would recommend not putting a phone number on your CV.

Unfortunately some recruiters are sufficiently intelligent to
use directory enquiries to get your work/home number from your
CV. They then phone up your work and pretend to be one of your
friends to get through the switchboard.

When I was at the BBC, I got a bogus call from some internal BBC
"accounting service", asking me to give details of my team.
I noticed they weren't calling from an internal number and asked
for their number to call back at which point they got quite
annoyed. They did give a 5 digit extension which was the standard,
so they'd done some homework (course, it didn't work).

I've just signed up for Orange "line 2" to be devoted (and diverted)
for work/recruitment agents.

What agency was it by the way (just so I know to avoid them)?
