ACK.

Acronyms are ok, but I also like invented words that have some etymological
relationship to the product, much like described in the Wired article
"Name-o-rama", where people come up with names like "Pentium" (i.e., "fifth
generation" - "chemical element"), AirTouch, PowerBook etc.

Also:

* API documentation
* press releases
* newsletter
* management white papers
  (buzzword-compliant - e.g., "XXX is a framework for building
   high-performance scalable web applications" ... "Applications compliant
   with the XXX API are platform agnostic. The business benefits ...")
* technical white papers

Capitalize on Apache's, Perl's and mod_perl's virtues:

* open source -> reliable code, community support
* cross-platform

Need to be able to demonstrate the following options:

* a reliable development process
* usefulness for e-commerce applications
* community support
* professional ("enterprise-level") support
* training options

Intended audience:

* IT management
* developers
(right?)

Promotion:

* cooperate with O'Reilly, TPC, ApacheCon etc. (just an idea)
* get featured in e-commerce, Apache, Perl, XML etc. news sites

It would also be good to have some products based on that technologies,
like a CMS based on AxKit or TT, something with Zope's scope.

It can be expected that the site uses the technologies it advocates, so it
needs to be robust and reliable.

Seeing that this initiative originated in a Perl Mongers group, we might be
able to persuade other Perl Mongers groups to advocate this cause.

I'm going to have quite some spare time from December onwards and would be
very interested in helping in the development of such a beast.
