That's exactly what I do, but then:
return incref( $xml->findnodes( '/foo' ) );
the random binary data has gone away - but nothing has replaced it.
Are you certain that 1) findnodes is returning something and 2) that your stylesheet has a template that matches those? Either of those could produce no output.
