Text editing is critical in GNU/Linux (or any POSIX).

Minimal OS installs are extremely common today with Vi being the only
editor option.

Hence Vi is pretty critical in even a junior Linux sysadmin's toolkit,
hence the weight.

No reason to change weights. This comes up every revision, and the
Mano-only welding crowd often takes issue.

P.S. Although I never wish frustration on anyone, it is pretty funny to
watch a newer sysadmin that doesn't know Vi deal with a root bash shell in
Vi mode, especially if the don't know the simple setting to disable it.

The resulting damage to the system is not always pretty either. :)
