> Yep, SUSE-ism It would be glad, if LPI request common linux tools and work. Not special scripts from Ubuntu, S.u.S.E, Debian, Slackware or whatever in which version at all.
Imagine ubunutu writes a script to download current kernel patches, the vanilla source kernel itself, apply the patches, apply the current setup from /proc/config [.gz]ยจ, apply the news from the patches, build the kernel and modules, install everything, fix the lilo, grub or whatever bootloader. The answer to one LPI question how to build a new kernel is "run myscript" under ubuntu, and the long story for S.u.S.E. or .. So please don't create LPI special for a distro. If so, you should remember that you can solve a problem in different ways, not only with only tool/ command under linux. One like awk, the other perl and the next writing small C program.
