Can anyone tell me if this behavior changed at version 3.7.x. When we upgraded from 3.6.x, we suddenly had checkpc giving errors about too many open files. If memory serves, we found that we were running into the open file limit, but we also discovered that the 3.6.x version of checkpc was closing file descriptors as it was finished with them, while the 3.7.x version was not. Therefore the "problem" appeared when we went to 3.7.x, even though we had not altered any kernel parameters. Was this change intentional?
