I've had pam_ldap enabled here on my normal use machine for quite some time
for testing with various products and development (patiently waiting for
samba head to become normally ldap aware :)). I added a user account to the
ldap database that doesn't exist anywhere but there, created the home
directory for that user, fired up vmware, and logged in as that user no
worries so in a nutshell, ltsp does work with an ldap enabled server as it
sits now. It's just that the server has to be configured which IMO is
probably beyond the scope of the LTSP project. There are afterall quite a
few various HOWTO's and what not related to getting up and running. Just my
$.02 :)
