Joergen,

Could be an iptables/ipchains problem.

Try:

   iptables -L

or

   ipchains -L


If those aren't configured you might get a warning
that the kernel doesn't support it.  don't worry about
that.

If you see lines indicating that certain types
of packets are rejected, then that is probably your
source of trouble.

Another thing you could check is this:

   rpcinfo -p localhost

You should see about 12 lines, showing that nfsd, mountd,
and a few other services are registered with the portmapper.


Anyway, check those things, and let us know
if you find anything.
