    It's no big trick; one LAN card is the default gateway, the other is for a 
particular LAN segment (like, 10.10.*.*, etc) so through the normal course of things, 
if a packet's destined for a network that it 'owns', it goes there.  If it has no idea 
where it goes (like, amazon.com) then it goes to the default gateway in hopes that it 
knows where to find it.  It's not really magic...no more than the whole rest of the 
TCP/IP idea is...  :)
