It's no big trick; one LAN card is the default gateway, the other is for a particular LAN segment (like, 10.10.*.*, etc) so through the normal course of things, if a packet's destined for a network that it 'owns', it goes there. If it has no idea where it goes (like, amazon.com) then it goes to the default gateway in hopes that it knows where to find it. It's not really magic...no more than the whole rest of the TCP/IP idea is... :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Brian Fahrländer Linux Zealot, Conservative, and Technomad Evansville, IN My Voyage: http://www.CounterMoon.com ICQ 5119262 AOL: WheelDweller Yahoo: WheelDweller Me: http://www.kamakiriad.com/aboutme.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________________________ Don't miss the 2002 Sprint PCS Application Developer's Conference August 25-28 in Las Vegas -- http://devcon.sprintpcs.com/adp/index.cfm _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
