Nicely said -- I appreciate it; The ipsec solution description offers much hope -- I am on the FreeS/WAN mailing list and am really left cold with the problem solving there. I have addressed the matter between sites with an approach of ssh-ing and poping a x-app back through the SSH tunnel -- but this is unsatisfactory, for each end user would need the ability to know how to use a shell acoount, or alternative, to to go to pass-phrased (or worse, non-pass-phrased access) to move to a remote side. That works: See a screenshot of a VNC onto a Windows host 130 miles away taken earlier today from my office, out to a client's site in a private address space -- I had just gotten an intermediate router properly passing packets: http://www.herrold.com/wine/ but it is pretty hard for a non-technical user to get right. -- Russ Herrold _______________________________________________________________ Don't miss the 2002 Sprint PCS Application Developer's Conference August 25-28 in Las Vegas - http://devcon.sprintpcs.com/adp/index.cfm?source=osdntextlink _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
