Sure thing ... centrosalon1:~ # ifconfig -a eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:01:02:75:CE:8C inet addr:192.168.1.23 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:1315 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:1120 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:100 RX bytes:83106 (81.1 Kb) TX bytes:1248845 (1.1 Mb) Interrupt:11 Base address:0xa800 lo Link encap:Local Loopback inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0 UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1 RX packets:48 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:48 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:3360 (3.2 Kb) TX bytes:3360 (3.2 Kb) A couple of other things perhaps worth mentioning: I have been using reiserfs on my servers for about a year and a half. Several months ago I ran into a problem with reiserfs not working properly with NFS under kernel < 2.2.18 or 19. Moving to the next revision cleared the problem. So I figured that I may be having a similar problem here; so I mirrored the system to another drive formatted for ext2 which didn't fix anything. I also use SCSI - a Tekram 390 controller with the Sym53c8xx driver. Since the server install is an "upgrade" of SuSE 7.2 to SuSE 7.3, my next idea is to try starting with a clean disk and installing 7.3 fresh. ---------------------------------------------------------------- John Karns [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: Jabber - The world's fastest growing real-time communications platform!
