Linda, There is a lot more to a full disaster recovery plan then I could possibly write in an email.
In a nutshell I: 1) Rsync the main server to the hot backup daily 2) Do a full weekly backup to tape using bru 3) Do a daily incremental backup to tape 4) Rotate the tapes on a six week rotation Whatever your plan, put it in writing step by step and test it before you need it.
