Hi Johan and others, Thanks for the file and advice. We made the file as shown and restarted xinetd. However, there must be another issue at stake because tftp does not connect. We do not use a firewall at all just to prevent problems in this stage. This is the output from tcpdump: 09:55:51.957754 0.0.0.0.bootpc > 255.255.255.255.bootps: xid:0x975d384a [|bootp] 09:55:51.958586 ltspserver.bootps > 255.255.255.255.bootpc: xid:0x975d384a Y:zevenentwintig S:ltspserver ether 0:60:97:54:79:9c [|bootp] (DF) 09:55:51.960265 zevenentwintig.bootpc > 255.255.255.255.bootps: xid:0x975d384a [|bootp] 09:55:51.960917 ltspserver.bootps > 255.255.255.255.bootpc: xid:0x975d384a Y:zevenentwintig S:ltspserver ether 0:60:97:54:79:9c [|bootp] (DF) 09:55:51.963331 arp who-has ltspserver tell zevenentwintig 09:55:51.963390 arp reply ltspserver is-at 0:20:af:92:bc:87 09:55:51.963746 zevenentwintig.2001 > ltspserver.tftp: 48 RRQ "/lts/vmlinuz-2.4.19-ltsp-1" 09:55:51.963855 ltspserver > zevenentwintig: icmp: ltspserver udp port tftp unreachable [tos 0xc0] 09:55:56.959671 arp who-has zevenentwintig tell ltspserver 09:55:56.959934 arp reply zevenentwintig is-at 0:60:97:54:79:9c 09:56:02.335126 zevenentwintig.2002 > ltspserver.tftp: 48 RRQ "/lts/vmlinuz-2.4.19-ltsp-1" 09:56:02.335165 ltspserver > zevenentwintig: icmp: ltspserver udp port tftp unreachable [tos 0xc0] What are we overlooking?
