This has been accomplished; install went fine. Back to square 1 with the ws001 and ws002 no-video issues. What file(s) would need to be edited? I'm certain to be missing something here ... (besides hair ;) I've downloaded the 4th 'extras' CD as well, but nothing installed. Run level 3 ok, 4 either start_telnet or change default in "lts.conf" ... NIC MAC's assigned in "dhcpd.conf" ... "hosts", and "hosts.allow" seem in good order. I have server + 2 ws00x's on a stand-alone hub. Just a testbed, for now. To learn, I've printed off and read the majority of K12LTSP's website, incl the admin guide ... surely there's something I'm missing here, but very frustrating-ly, and likely keep missing the same thing over & over. So - what would be the steps to install the correct video for a not-supported-by-default-load K12LTSP? I'm serious - I have downloaded (video) rpms from the LTSP site, they seemed to install just fine, yet some file, somewhere, needs touching. (maybe many?) Any help appreciated! I will re-read the info, perhaps some #'s need removing somewhere, or some such? It seems (this build) setting individual run levels to say, 3 has no effect over the global default. The log file is suspiciously similar to (Mandrake 9.1 builds) trying to supply video for the server's video card. Mercy on a persistent newbie? Love to hear what my next step should be, or some section(s) to re-read.
